Well I've recently met the ultimate extreme of technophobia. I admit there were computers in the room, teacher ones that students were not supposed to use so were strictly watched while they 'researched', but that was as far as it went. I really wonder how long teachers can hide behind the view that their students don't have internet access at home so why do they need to have them using the internet at school. Is this true I ask myself? Am I assuming that they are wrong when they really know their students far better than I could possibly do in my short visits? Well I'm going to put it to the test and do a survey! One Survey Monkey coming up that delves into the inner (outside of the four concrete walls of education anyway) lives of teenagers and their access to the world. While I confidently expect to be right (as always...) I secretly suspect that I am going to find the rug pulled out from under me and the broadband cables disappear from my view. Scary thought!

On another track, I just love working with open minded lateral thinking adults who may be scared as anything about the learning and possibilities, but are keen and prepared to give it a go. It's such fun watching the faces as they master new tools, and then hearing the "stop now, my head's full" comments when you realise that the lesson is over for now. I do love my job!
